history - Mission in Lithuania

September 23, in the year 2007, we had our first sunday service. In this time we were only a few persons, so that we had much space in our premises. By God´s work came more and more persons in the church. Most of them from Alytus, some from other cities and a missionary couple from the USA. Through evangelistic events for kids (in the beginning of our work), evangelistic concerts, evangelistic movie nights and other events, we could see how God brought more and more searching people in our little church. After some time our permises were too little, so that we started to search for some bigger rooms. After half a year we found something. In december 2012 we could finally move (after three month of rebuilding). This process of rebuilding has brought our little community closer together. Since 2008 we can see how people find new hope in Christ! A alcoholic is completely free of his addiction, people with immoral lifestyle find new values in Jesus, young adults, but also children became believers. Three years ago we could celebrate our first baptisms and our first marriage. The people who come to our church are completely of different backgrounds, not only with regard to the age (little children - pensioners), but also regarding the professonal backgrounds (pupils, social workers, teachers, construction workers, housewives and a doctor). Our wish is it to integrate Lithuanians, and so we encourage them to participate in several parts of our services (worship, prayer time...) and they like to do it and it´s an integral part of our sunday morning services.
